　　Teachers Day is, interestingly, not observed on the same day all over the world. It is perhaps one of those few days which has a separate international day whose importance is superseded by the nationally observed day。

　　非常有意思，在世界范圍內，教師節(jié)并不是同一天。它是廣受國際重視的日子，跟其他的國際節(jié)日一樣，只不過是在不同的日子里來紀念罷了。

　　International Teachers Day as observed by UNESCO is October 5. Being held ever since 1994, it commemorates teachers' organisations worldwide. Its aim is to mobilise support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers。

　　世界教科文組織以10月5日為國際教師節(jié)。自1994年以來，都用于紀念世界范圍內的教師組織。目的是為教師們爭取支持，并確保未來孩子的需要能得到滿足。

　　China -Teachers Day was founded at the National Central University in 1931. It was adopted by the central government of the Republic of China, in 1932. In 1939, the day was set for August 27, Confucius' birthday. The People's Republic of China government abrogated it in 1951. It was reestablished in 1985, and the day was changed to September 10. Now more and more people are trying to revert the day back to Confucius's birthday。

　　中國――教師節(jié)是1931年由國立中央大學設立的，1932年由中華民國中心政府采用。1939年，又把教師節(jié)定位8月27日，也就是孔子的生 日。1951年中華人民共和國廢除了這一規(guī)定。1985年又重新設定教師節(jié)為每年的9月10日。現(xiàn)在越來越多的人希望將教師節(jié)改為孔子誕辰日。

　　India- Teachers Day is celebrated on September 5 in honour of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second president of India, whose birthday falls that day。

　　印度――教師節(jié)是每年的9月5日，來紀念印度的第二任主席拉達克里希博士的出生。

　　Russia- In Russia, Teachers Day was celebrated on the first Sunday of October, between 1965 and 1994. Since 1994, the day is observed on the October 5, coinciding with World Teachers Day。

　　俄羅斯――在俄羅斯，教師節(jié)在1965到1994年間被定為十月的第一個周日。1994年后，俄羅斯的教師節(jié)就改為與世界教師節(jié)同步，即10月5日。

　　The US- In the US, Teachers Day is a non-official holiday. It is observed on the Tuesday of the first full week of May. The day is celebrated with pomp and gaiety. A number of activities are organised in schools to honour teachers. The celebrations can continue for the entire week of May。

　　美國――在美國，教師節(jié)被定位五月的第一個完整工作周的周二，為非官方假期。節(jié)日通常是在一片歡樂的盛況中度過。很多的協(xié)會組織在學校對老師進行表彰，這一盛況甚至持續(xù)一整周。

　　Thailand- In Thailand, National Teachers Day is celebrated every year on January 16. The day was adopted as Teachers Day in the island nation by a resolution of the government on November 21, 1956. The first Teachers Day was held in 1957. The day is declared as a holiday in schools。

　　泰國――泰國的國家教師節(jié)被定在每年的2月16日，這是由一項在1956年11月21日通過的政府決議規(guī)定的。1957年泰國人慶祝了第一個教師節(jié)。在泰國，教師節(jié)作為學校的節(jié)日來慶祝。

　　Iran- In Iran, Teachers Day is celebrated on May 2. It commemorates the assassination of Iranian professor Ayatollah Morteza Motahhari. The renowned writer, a timeless teacher, was executed on May 2, 1980. On the day, students offer flowers to teachers to honour the sacred profession。

　　伊朗――在伊朗，教師節(jié)是5月2日。它是為了紀念刺殺伊朗教授阿亞圖拉莫爾塔扎。一個永恒的老師和著名作家，1980年5月2日被處決。當天，學生向教師敬獻鮮花，以贊揚教師們這項神圣的職業(yè)。

　　Turkey- In Turkey, Teachers Day is celebrated on November 24. Turkey's first president Kemal Ataturk dedicated November 24 to honour teachers and their profession. There is no holiday on this day。

　　土耳其――在土耳其，教師節(jié)是11月24日。土耳其第一任總統(tǒng)凱末爾專用11月24日來表彰教師和他們的職業(yè)。這一天也是不放假的。

　　Malaysia- May 16 is dedicated to teachers in Malaysia. The day is celebrated as Teachers Day in the country with great enthusiasm. The day is called 'Hari Guru' in Malaysia and is a working day。

　　馬來西亞――5月16日是馬來西亞的教師。教師節(jié)這一天，全國上下都以極大的熱情來慶祝。在馬來西亞，這一天被稱為“哈日宗師”，同時這也是馬來西亞的一個正常工作日。
